Trengove Farm with its listed farmhouse and buildings is surrounded by open fields and is ideally positioned between the old tin mining village of Illogan and the harbour side village of Portreath. Trengove is a working farm and retains all the charm of a bygone era whilst enjoying all the amenities of today. Much of the charm and interest of the main building exists within the farm buildings that surround the farmhouse. These have been sympathetically renovated with extensive use of natural materials and are tastefully furnished to a high standard. The Roundhouse is a particularly interesting restoration of an old farm building and is a fine example of the care and attention to detail that has been invested in retaining the essential Cornish character of the buildings.
Trengove Farm is in the fortunate position of being in peaceful countryside, yet only a mile from the spectacular coastal scenery and sandy beaches of the North Coast. The South Coast of the County is also within easy reach of Trengove, Falmouth with it's fine beaches and wonderful nautical feel is just 12 miles away. It is situated between the villages of Illogan and Portreath, the main A30 is only five minutes drive away which makes this location very accessible to visit all parts of West Cornwall and beyond. St Michael’s Mount, St. Ives, the National Maritime Museum and the Eden Project are all within easy reach. The nearest towns are Redruth and Camborne, where there are main line railway stations and the nearest airport is at Newquay 25 miles distant. A selection of small shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and take-aways can be found within a few miles. Many of our guests comment on the convenience of staying at Trengove and return again and again...
