Georgian Guest House Overlooking Chapel Point Nr Portmellon & Mevagissey, Beautiful Views, Ensuites.

Built about 200 years ago, the house is on the cliffs overlooking Chapel Point & near to the small bay and hamlet of Portmellon close to Mevagissey. At the Anchorage there is a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The house is very close to the sea and all rooms have stunning sea views. It is an ideal base for those who love to visit gardens, walk, sightsee or simply relax. The location is excellent for visiting the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The Anchorage provides a comfortable, clean, no-smoking environment and, with three double rooms, the Anchorage is especially suitable for couples but we regret we don't have suitable accommodation for very young children or dogs.

The Anchorage is a charming Georgian house with considerable character. We have a guest lounge which looks out to sea and over our attractive garden. Many garden birds visit and breeding sea birds can be seen on the cliffs below our garden in Spring. If you are really lucky dolphins, seals and the occasional basking shark may be spotted from the bedroom windows. For breakfast we can offer a full English/part English, vegetarian or continental style meal. Home made bread and fresh fruit are usually available. Special diets can be catered for but notice of requirements would be appreciated. We can give advise on the many local places of interest and where to eat. There is a range of places to eat in Mevagissey (10 min walk) as well as the Rising Sun pub in Portmellon.
