The Idle Rocks Hotel is superbly located in one of the best waterside locations in Cornwall, sitting right on the harbour wall in the picturesque village of St. Mawes, on the tip of the Roseland Peninsular. The view is of a Cornish dream brought to life; a small, idyllic harbour, narrow lanes of fishermen's cottages and green fields that slope down to sandy beaches. The terrace at the front of the property is the perfect place to sit and watch life on the water of this bustling harbour.

The Idle Rocks has had two AA rosettes since 1992 and the brigade has been creating delicious dishes from the best of Cornish produce since this date. There is a rich availability of locally grown Cornish produce, including early season fruit and vegetables, fresh sea fish and the best quality meats and poultry. Breakfast is traditional with a touch of flair and guests are invited to try smoked haddock with poached egg, smoked salmon and scrambled egg or a lighter or continental version, should you prefer.

The hotel has 27 comfortably appointed bedrooms, most of which offer wonderful sea views. 23 of these rooms are located in the main building while 4 premier rooms are situated in the converted fisherman's cottage adjacent to the hotel. All rooms are en-suite and fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, colour TVs and hair dryers as standard. Our Premier Balconette and Premier Cottage rooms offer additional comforts and extras.
