Highfield Lodge enjoys a wonderful location on the edge of the charming village of Crantock on the north coast of Cornwall, just four miles from the popular surf resort of Newquay. The village is well served by two inns, a delightful tea garden, a number of gift shops and newsagent/village stores. The broad sand dune backed beach, one of Cornwall's finest, is just a ten minute walk from the hotel. The tidal estuary of the Gannel lies between Crantock and Newquay and this can be crossed at low tide, giving access to the lobster shack where you can purchase freshly caught lobsters, crabs and other seafood. For those who enjoy walking, the South West Coastal Path passes through Crantock, heading southwards onto Holywell Bay and Perranporth or north towards Newquay and beyond. Crantock Beach has a local surfing school and offers reasonably priced lessons, which we can book on your behalf. There are a great many attractions to be found within the local area including Watergate Bay with its surfing competitions and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, The Eden Project, and of course the stunning beaches and smugglers coves. The golf courses in Cornwall are second to none with the challenge of links or more traditional courses. Superb Sea, Coarse and fly-fishing are also easily accessible. We offer a range of seven double en-suite rooms, all equipped with colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, CD player and hairdryer. We are a pet friendly hotel and allow dogs to sleep in bedrooms. We are conveniently located just fifteen minutes drive from Newquay Airport, where we can arrange to collect you if you prefer not to hire a car. Dogs are very welcome at Highfield Lodge.

Rooms Description

All our rooms are decorated in a modern clean style, with en-suite bathroom and shower. Storage facilities are available for surf boards, bicycles etc, and drying facilities for towels are available for those odd inclement days. Our self catering flat offers comfortable accommodation for those wanting a bit more space and freedom.
