Stuart and Sal welcome you to Dalswinton House, we provide holidays for dogs and their owners. We are a Victorian stone-built former farmhouse standing in 10 acres of gardens and meadowland in the glorious Vale of Lanherne, midway between Padstow and Newquay. We overlook the beautiful village of St. Mawgan, with views to the sea at Mawgan Porth and are the the perfect centre from which to discover stunning Cornwall. Set in ten acres of meadowland and landscaped gardens, we also offer a solar heated pool, perfect for relaxing by on a summers day. Our restaurant serves breakfast and dinner and our residents bar is open in the evenings. A guest's lounge has TV, video, DVD player and free WI-FI internet access. Panoramic views from our conservatory are available for you to enjoy whatever the weather!

Approached by its own private drive Dalswinton House is family run and offers excellent food in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Your dogs are very welcome but we regret that no children under 16 are permitted. We offer an award winning welcome to all house trained dogs free of charge. They are allowed in all areas of the house except the restaurant and must be kept on a lead at all times on the pool terrace. Our 8 acres of meadow are perfect for exercising your pooch and there is a dog friendly beach only 1.5 miles away.

Rooms Description

There are 8 bedrooms in the house, including 1 ground floor room. All rooms refurbished during 2004/2005. Each room has en-suite facilities and is equipped with colour TV, central heating and tea & coffee making facilities. Smoking is not permitted in any of the bedrooms. Dalswinton Lodge is our self catering lodge, completely refurbished in 2005, is situated within the grounds of the house, adjacent to the swimming pool. It comprises a double bedroom and single bedroom, together with a lounge/dining area, kitchenette and a bathroom with shower, w.c. and hand basin. Smoking is not permitted in the Lodge.

Specialities

We can happily order a taxi for guests arriving at the train station or airport. Nearby Newquay airport offers six flights a day from Gatwick/Plymouth and Stansted as well as flights to the Isles of Scilly, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Dublin and other UK Regional Airports.
