Rock Cottage is a detached 16c waterside self catering holiday property situated by the Helford River, a short walk from the village of Mawgan in Cornwall. The cottage sits in two thirds of an acre and is bordered by the Mawgan Creek on two sides. The grounds lead to a private jetty with a rowing dinghy moored on the rocky foreshore so you can explore the creeks. The property offers superb accommodation for up to six people in three bedrooms. All rooms have full central heating by radiators and overlook the garden and Helford River. The garden is home to many species of birds and when the tide ebbs, there is an abundance of water birds to observe too from either the kitchen or patio.

The cottage has a Kitchen/Breakfast Room with a wonderful view and is fitted with beech furniture. It is very well equipped with a Bosch washing machine, dishwasher, double oven, electric hob, large fridge/freezer and microwave as well as many other kitchen essentials. The Bathroom is situated on the ground floor and consists of a full white suite with overbath electric shower. The beamed Sitting Room is fully carpeted, has original cob walls, window seats and large inglenook. There is a comfortable three piece suite, oak sideboard, TV, VCR/DVD CD/radio system, nest of tables and also a dining table and chairs. You will also find a good selection of books and information about local walks and Cornish history. An open tread wooden staircase (with handrail) leads to the Master Bedroom and the Childrens Room.

Rooms Description

Rock Cottage can sleep up to six people in three comfortable bedrooms both with polished wooden floors and rugs. Bedroom One is decorated in cream and yellow, has 5' king size bed, with oak bedroom furniture. The adjacent bedroom is suitable for younger persons and has two 2'6" beds. There is a selection of children's books to be enjoyed at bedtime. The third bedroom is situated across a slate courtyard and provides privacy for another couple or grandparents. This has two 3' beds, white Shaker style furniture, cream carpet and TV/VCR. All bedrooms have wonderful views of the Mawgan Creek.
