The Bed & Breakfast offers a high standard of comfort offering single, double and family rooms. Our friendly family owned bed & breakfast is run in a renovated 1870 Grade II listed building, formally used as a dry for the local clay industry and still has parts of the old workings, including high stone chimney stacks and 100 year old brick kilns. As the china clay industry continued to flourish in the early 20th century, the site was developed as a working clay dry. These were buildings containing settling tanks and drying floors used to settle and dry out the clay slurry that had been washed out of the neighbouring china clay quarries. A section of the building has been preserved with the workings of the clay dry. It offers character and local history all under one roof.

We are central to both North and South coasts, and set in the heart of the clay country with views of Roche Rock, a 14th century chapel. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and south side beaches and beautiful coastal walks are only 5 miles away. And on the North there is Newquay where you have the best Cornish surfing waters and Padstow for trail walks and fishing. Carbis is central to Cornwall and is a ideal location to start your day trips from.
