Porthleven is an attractive, unspoilt fishing village in South West Cornwall situated in the middle of Mount's Bay. To the east lies the Lizard Peninsula and to the west, Land's End. The harbour forms the centre of the village and is flanked on either side by fishermans' houses, shops and restaurants. Porthleven has a wealth of coastal paths and country lanes. One mile to the east of the village is the famous Loe Pool, Loe Bar and the beautiful Penrose Woods, all under the auspices of The National Trust. To the west are coastal paths to Bishop's Rock, Rinsey and Praa Sands. There are two miles of beach and several nearby golf courses, parks and sports centres.
