Beautifully refurbished boutique hotel in Port Isaac, restaurant & bar with 3 acres of restored Victorian gardens and stunning sea views. Close to beaches.
James and Sharon welcome you to The Long Cross Hotel & Restaurant, set in almost 4 acres of its own grounds and gardens overlooking the North Cornwall coast perched high above Port Quin between Port Isaac and Polzeath. This converted Victorian gentleman's residence has been completely refurbished and boasts all modern creature comforts along with a stunning new restaurant and bar with terraces taking advantage of the expansive panoramic views. Other new amenities include a resident's lounge and library. There is plenty to do for children, including our very own adventure playground and our 3 bedroom suite is perfect for families! The hotel is available for group bookings, for weddings, conferences and anniversaries, with a large function room with a capacity for up to 150 people.
The Long Cross is in the perfect secluded location to enjoy a quiet relaxing break yet is within easy striking distance of some of the area's best attractions. The popular TV series ‘Doc Martin’ is filmed for many of its indoor filming at the farm adjacent to the hotel. Rock and the Camel Estuary with its associated sailing and watersports and easy ferry access to Padstow, the championship golf course at St. Enodoc, Daymer Bay and Polzeath surfing beaches, historic Port Isaac fishing village, local market town of Wadebridge with cycle hire for the Camel Trail to Padstow and the diverse Bodmin Moor are all within 20 minutes drive. The Eden Project is 40 minutes away and Tate Gallery is an 80 minutes drive.
The hotel has 14 recently refurbished elegant bedrooms, plus detached garden suites, all with private bathrooms, central heating, flat screen TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and broadband access. Many of the rooms have panoramic views. We are able to cater for those who are less mobile, with 3 rooms on the ground floor that are no more than 4 metres from the car park.
Located adjacent to the hotel are our Long Cross Victorian Gardens, the only public gardens on the North Cornish coast, and the subject of a television feature because of their unusual aspects. The gardens remain in the original Victorian garden layout and they retain their original splendour. Visitors often say that they have never seen a garden resembling the Long Cross and this is mainly because the gardens were constructed primarily to overcome the difficulties of the local climate.
Luxury Garden suites available from £80 pppn - £105pppn.
