Luxurious 'green' Self Catering Cottages In Two Acres Of Wildlife Gardens Close To Fowey, Cornwal

Coriander Cottages are set within the grounds of an old watermill in the picturesque ancient port of Fowey. Set in 2 acres of wildlife garden, with tumbling waterfalls of natural springs in the winter,each of our 2 cottages has a private entrance and parking, but also access to the Olive Garden courtyard, filled with lavender and rosemary and our origional Cornish ciderpress fountain.Our open plan barns have been built from the remains of the old cyder barns which belonged to the watermill. They have been sympathetically restored and converted into an open-plan self catering barn and a B&B garden suite using skilled Cornish craftsmen and local, traditional materials.We also offer bed and breakfast in garden suite rooms, each with patio doors. We are 1.5 miles from the bustling town of Fowey, which has a fine range of independent shops, bars and bistros wirth terraces over the harbour. Further along is St Catherine's Castle, a perfect spot to have a picnic or take in the beautiful sea views.Water lovers can also hire boats from Fowey River Boat Hire or take a trip out to sea to catch a glimpse of bottlenose dolphins, seals and basking sharks. The fishing village of Golant, with its Fisherman's pub and everchanging sandbanks is a pleasant stroll through the woods, over the creek and along the banks of the river.

We are unique in offering deluxe, environmentally concious open plan self catering barns and B&B. Badgers' Hollow has a private drive and parking. It is open-plan,sleeps 2 and has a luxury spa bathroom with LCD TV over sunken jacuzzi bath and walk in wet room. There is also a well equipped kitchen with Neff appliences,living area with LCD TV, DVD and log burner and the bedroom area with organic cotton linen and a private patio and balcony overlooking the gardens and millpond. We have installed a rainwater harvesting system, which collects rainwater and uses it to flush the toilets and the washing. Solar panels heat the water and Geothermal heating takes heat from the ground and gently warms the luxury limestone floors. We have used natural lambs wool to insulate the walls. Additionally, the barns have been opened up to face South to use passive solar heat gain.The barns are lime rendered and have natural chemical free paint finishes. There is also a traditional 2 bedroom cottage "Mill Cottage", origionally part of the Mill, in which we accept dogs, and we also offer B&B in "The Stables" garden suite, offering local and organic breakfasts.
