Holidaying at 'Wild Air' you are assured a superb welcome, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have an outstanding location with magnificent harbour, sea and village views. The harbourside and village centre is only a few minutes walk away. Our garden and patio overlook the harbour - popular for discussing the days events over a bottle of wine. A non-smoking establishment with accommodation consisting of 2 double en-suite rooms and a double room with large, luxury private bathroom with walk in shower; all with fantastic sea views. We also have free on-site parking; a rare commodity in Mevagissey!
The picturesque 14th century village of Mevagissey is situated on the South coast of Cornwall and is the largest working fishing village in St. Austell Bay. It is still very much an active fishing village with commercial fisherman landing their catch daily. Fishing and pleasure trips are available from the quayside and there are a number of beaches nearby. During the summer months the ferry runs daily to Fowey. A trip to the Lost Gardens of Heligan takes only a few minutes, the famous Eden Project 20 minutes and the National Maritime Museum of Falmouth is approximately 20 miles away. With miles of stunning coastline it is a haven for walkers and Mevagisseys central location in Cornwall makes it a good choice for touring the county. There is an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants and shops in the village, as well as a museum, aquarium and model railway. Cornwall is also a superb place to go birding for a spring or autumn break. Wild Air is open all year except Christmas and New Year.
