The Avalon Guest House is a friendly and informal, family run property offering 5 star bed and breakfast accommodation in the centre of the enchanting village of Tintagel. The Avalon enjoys westerly views of the Cornish coastline and sea beyond and St Materina, a 900 year old Norman church, can be seen perched high on Glebe Cliff. There are also uninterrupted views of Tintagel Island where the ruins of King Arthur's 13th Century castle can be seen.
The surrounding land is protected by the National Trust and we are just a ten minute walk from the Coastal Path and two minutes from the walkway that leads to Tintagel Island. Start the day with a hearty breakfast chosen from our extensive breakfast menu before venturing out to explore the sights and attractions of this beautiful area of Cornwall. Our breakfasts are made using the finest local ingredients and we are only too happy to cater for special dietary requirements.
Rooms Description
We have 5 double plus 2 Superior Super king/Twin Rooms, four of which have Tintagel Island, sea and coastal views and all have en-suite shower rooms. Each room is equipped with LCD TV, refreshment tray, CD clock radio and hair dryer. All bedding is natural cotton and hypoallergenic and the custom made silver Gothic style beds have hand crafted, pocket sprung mattresses. Free Wi-fi is now also available.

Built in Victorian times, The Avalon guest house has all original features and has had a complete renovation and refurbishment in July 2006 in a contemporary style with a Gothic twist.

Directions
Off the A39 follow the signs for Tintagel. In Tintagel turn left at the mini roundabout at King Arthur's Great Halls and follow the road through the village. The road bends right and after 60 yards you will see The Avalon guest house driveway, leading to our car park on the left hand side.
