Padstow nestles on the western side of the Camel Estuary, sheltered from the prevailing southwesterly winds, and is famous for its narrow streets and pretty stone built cottages.

More recently the town has become famous for its wide variety of excellent restaurants, including Rick Stein's Seafood Retaurant, The Cafe and Bistro Margot. Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant is also within easy reach.
