Barnhaven Self Catering Cottages - Helston
Two self catering cottages each can sleep four people, lots of outdoor space, Wonderful Views. In a quiet hamlet near Porthleven in Cornwall.
Tregonning and Godolphin three star self catering cottages nestle in the secluded hamlet of Polladras near Porthleven and just ten minutes from Praa Sands and its mile long golden beach. The hamlet sits on the lower slopes of Tregonning Hill and from the garden you can see Godolphin Hill, just a mile away. These hills afford spectacular views towards Praa Sands and the north coast, Carbis Bay and Penzance to the east. The cottages provide the perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the Cornish sunsets as they settle across the lawns.
Tregonning Hill plays an important part in local history, having been the place where china clay was first discovered in Britain, before larger deposits were located towards St Austell. We enjoy a tranquil rural location and the fields around are used for growing daffodils and vegetables, peacocks wander freely nearby and owls can often be heard in the surrounding trees at night. You approach the cottages through an old field gate, where there is plenty of parking, and good room for bicycles around the back.
Rooms Description
The cottages have a contemporary feel and each has new kitchens, bathrooms and heating. There is a master bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with twin beds.
Specialities
All linen is included except towels. Cots and highchairs are available. There is also access to a washing machine if you need to keep on top of that as well. Pets are welcome for a nominal fee

Directions
Drive down the A30 to Hayle and drive through the town to the viaduct where you turn left onto the B3302 to Helston, and drive for 6.25 miles. Turn right, sign posted towards Carleen and Breage. Drive into Carleen and when you get to the T junction turn right and then first right again after 50 yards, the cottages are down this lane on the right hand side about 400 yards, on past Polladras farm another 100 yards, and then through the farm gates at the front of the cottages at our sign.
