The charming four star rated Downe End Guest House is located in the beautiful Cornish countryside, just a few miles from the picturesque fishing villages of Looe and Polperro. The guest house was built in the 1930s and stands in two acres of lawns and gardens with many local trees and shrubs. The A38 into Cornwall can be found five miles away and St Austell can be reached in 40 minutes, Newquay in 60 minutes and Lands End in 90 minutes, traffic allowing. Your hosts, Teresa and Andy Greenaway, take pride in offering a high standard of service and accommodation and are always willing to offer advice on things to do and places to see.

At Downe End B&B all of our guest rooms are fully en-suite and feature televisions, hair dryers, alarm clock radios, tea and coffee making facilities and wireless Internet. A full Cornish or continental breakfast is served daily and includes mouth watering local sausages, bacon and free range eggs. Daily specials such as scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are also available. The dining room has a fully licensed bar attached where you will find information about local attractions and menus from local restaurants and pubs. Evening meals are often available with us, on a night by night basis, please enquire about our menus. A cosy log fire adds warmth to the room during the winter months. Should you be visiting the area to celebrate a special occasion we can arrange for champagne, flowers and chocolates to greet your arrival.
