Consols Rest is a luxurious, 5 star rated granite self catering holiday cottage set in the secluded hamlet of Trowan, high on the cliff tops just a twenty minute beautiful countryside walk to St Ives, where traditional fishing boats still land their catch in the historic harbour and there are 5 sandy beaches to choose from. Numerous galleries, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars line the cobbled streets and there are plenty of interesting shops to browse. The hamlet is surrounded by lush green meadows and enjoys panoramic sea views. This charming, wonderfully appointed and immaculately presented property dates back to the eighteenth Century and has recently been thoughtfully restored to now provide self catering accommodation in St Ives for the more discerning visitor.

Consols Rest features exposed granite walls, soft painted plasterwork and timber boards set alongside natural stone and slate to create a warm, contemporary feel. The property features an exceptionally well equipped, large, open plan kitchen with granite worktops, range style cooker, fridge and separate wine/drinks chiller, dishwasher and microwave; lounge with widescreen TV and Freeview channels, DVD, Bose soundsystem and iPod dock, wireless Internet and telephone; dining room with ample seating for four people; and a utility room with washer/dryer, freezer and storage space for outdoor gear. There is also a downstairs wc. A small secluded patio and garden to the front of the cottage catches the morning sun. The large rear garden has a dining table and chairs, picnic bench, loungers and a barbecue. It gets the sun all day long and is the ideal spot from which to enjoy the spectacular sunsets and a glass of wine. On a clear night sit and gaze at the mesmerising display of shooting stars, high in the sky above Consols. At the end of the day snuggle up on the sofa and make use of the impressive library of dvd's/cd's, books, magazines and board games. Private parking for 2 cars at the cottage plus reserved parking spaces available in the heart of St Ives. Easy access to the coastal path and the many route marked inland path networks. Walk the dramatic Cornish coastline to the idyllic village of Zennor and have lunch at the pub which dates from 1271.

Rooms Description

The master bedroom has a king size double bed and oak furniture, french doors open onto a small balcony to reveal sweeping views across the moorland towards Rosewall Hill and over the adjacent meadow to the sea beyond. The spacious en suite has a walk in Grohe drench shower, basin and WC. The second bedroom contains twin 3ft beds and can also accommodate a cot. The main bathroom has a freestanding double ended roll top bath, perfect to laze in after a day of sea and surf. There is a second, separate, large walk in shower, feature basin and WC. Quality bedlinen and fluffy white towels are provided.
