Finn's Harbour Restaurant in Newquay is superb for seafood, or for that extra special venue take a short drive to nearby Padstow for Rick Stein's famous Seafood restaurant, plus Rick Stein cafe and wot wot fish and chips. Deeeeeeelicious!

Jamie Oliver has arrived in Cornwall, and has for good reason chosen Newquay and Watergate Bay, with spectacular views of the Atlantic, as his third location for the first of what could be a scattering of Fifteen Jamie Oliver Restaurants in Cornwall, especially if franchising plans are successful. Fifteen Melbourne Australia is pending. A 15 Jamie Oliver Restaurant has already been operating in London for a number of years, and recruits young unemployed teenagers, who get the full chef training. Jamie Oliver has come first to Newquay in Cornwall to work similar magic, in an area of high youth unemployment and seasonal peaks and troughs - good news for the area indeed. Good things a-coming to be sure. The opening to the Jamie Oliver restaurant Fifteen in Newquay has been fairly low key, but this project is certainly at the top of Jamie Oliver's agenda, ""To be honest, I feel I've had all my highs really. The only highs now are watching my own kids grow up and watching the [Fifteen] students f-ing take over the country............The vision hasn't actually gone full circle yet, and that vision was for a student from the Fifteen Foundation [a registered charity] to open his or her own restaurant. So at the moment I'm at the beginning of creating a formula for what we put the kids through to train them and how we can raise cash for people to invest in our students.""
