Located within Trenance Gardens just inland from the Newquay coast is fabulous holiday leisure complex Waterworld. A guaranteed family fun day out for all, with two large swimming pools one of which is a Tropical Fun Pool the kids will love. All the favourite waterslides and activities are to be found in the Tropical Fun pool including water cannons, slides, spitting water snakes and crocodiles grrrrrr, and there's even an erupting volcano and flumes. Gym opening times are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8.00am to 9.00pm, Tuesday 7.00am to 9.00pm and Saturday & Sunday 8.00am to 3.00pm. Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre Nr Newquay

Springfields Fun Park and Pony Centre again just inland from Newquay is perfect for families with younger children and this fun park has activities for both wet and dry days with indoor and outdoor activities aplenty. Aimed at children upto the age of 7, the giant indoor barn play area at Springfields will have um tearing around like mad tots! Yowza, the barn has a secret woodland village with madcap slide and giant house. Check out the slide zone with Death Drop Slide if you dare! Kids will love the giant games area too with recreated giant snakes and ladders and so forth! For the really young tots there's a toddler's play area too, plus cafe on-site for refreshment.

The Activity Zone in the barn is crammed with climbing equipment, romping swings, rope ladders and a spiral slide - perfect for children over 5 to let loose!! Moving on outside and Springfields there's plenty more going on including Pedal ko-carting, a boating lake, giant trampolines, and plenty of swings and slides. Hop aboard the Springfields Express for a mini train ride around the complex, then off to Bunnies Castle - a vast wooden platform with new dare devil Astra Slide.

One of the highlights and unique features at Springfields Newquay is the Pony centre where kids can get close to a range of pony breeds. There are 25 ponies here, including the endearing Shetland Pony, plus you'll find Yorkshire, Dartmoor and Welsh ponies here too! Next on the list is the farm animals, again offering hands on pat or feed a sheep, goat and all the rest. Springfields also benefits from an adjacent 8 acre wood called Old Quoit Wood where you'll find a pleasant family woodland trail, plus lots of areas for picnics. Holywell Bay Funpark & Golf

Just three miles outside Newquay on the Newquay to Redruth A3075 road is the fun packed adventure holiday park Holywell which offers a great choice of fun park activities including go-carting, pitch & putt, fun rides, a maze and climbing wall and mini train rides. Also on offer is direct access to blue flag Holywell Bay Beach, a sheltered superb family beach with gentle surfing available and facilities for surfboard/surf gear hire. There's golf here at Holywell Bay too - both an 18 hole golf course plus pitch and putt golf for all the family. Holywell Bay Fun Park has all the ingredients for a fantastic family day out!

Holywell Bay Fun Park is free entrance, and you pay for each individual attraction when you're in there by a token system, except for the pitch and putt golf. This gives families the flexibility to pick and choose what they want to do, and how much you spend. The fun park caters well for all ages with an indoor play area more suited to the tots, or dare devil experiences like the new Rebound - a kind of bungee jump with a difference, eek! Go-carting is available for both juniors and older children/adults, and water rides like Battle Boats or the gentler Bumper Boats are superb attractions for all the family. Crazy Golf and pitch and putt golf are available, and Merlin's Maze is a good one for the tots. Something for all the family here at Holywell Bay, plus an adjacent superb family beach. Waterparks Near Newquay

Not far from Newquay is one of the best family days out to be had at Crealy - 'Cornwall's Great Adventure Park'. It's definitely worth taking the short drive from Newquay to this fun packed water park located just minutes from the A30 on the A39 between Newquay and Padstow!
